OUR PASTOR AND FIRST LADY

Elder Keith L. Moore became Pastor of Scripture Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ, working alongside his wife, First Lady Catherine E. Moore, on Sunday, February 7, 2016.  

Pastor Moore grew up under the leadership and guidance of his father, the late District Elder John P. Moore and Mother Clara J. Moore.  Pastor Moore is one of ten children, being the fourth oldest.  Pastor Moore grew up in the Washington Metropolitan area. He was baptized in the name of Lord Jesus in May, 1981 and received the gift of the Holy Ghost in August, 1983.  

In May, 2015 Pastor Moore was recommended by Mid-Atlantic Diocesan Bishop Clarence Groover, Pastor of Fisherman of Men Church in Washington, DC to be catechized at the Leadership Seminar in Columbia, SC.  Pastor Moore was ordained as an Elder with the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith at the International Convocation on Sunday, July 26, 2015 in Greensboro, NC.

Pastor Moore and First Lady Catherine Moore were joined in union of holy matrimony on August 1, 1998 by the late Elder Alton Tyler, Pastor of Solid Rock Church in Port Republic, MD. They have three lovely children:  JeVon, Keith, Jr. and Ashley.  

In 1976 the late District Elder John P. Moore started Scripture Church in Alexandria, VA, with his family and three members.  Elder Moore was blessed to pastor Scripture Church from 1976 – 2004, when he discontinued Scripture Church due to illness.  

In 2014 the Lord spoke to Elder Keith Moore about pastoring Scripture Church.  After fasting and praying, Elder Moore was led to Temple Hills,MD in 2016 where Scripture Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ was re-opened at Uniqek Banquet Hall, 3130 Branch Avenue, Temple Hills, MD 20748. Pastor Moore is very passionate about the work of the Lord as he continues to share the joy of the Lord through worship, teaching and winning souls for Christ.
